Our story
It began in the trunk of a car.
No atelier, no investors, only a perfumer, a conviction, and the scents of a homeland the world had yet to smell.
In 2017, Yusif Meizongo Jr. set out to do something no one in Ghana had done before: build a niche fragrance house worthy of the world's great names.
He had no storefront. He sold from the trunk of his car, sourcing materials where he could and teaching a market that had never known niche perfumery why it mattered. What he had was rarer than capital — a vision, and the patience to compose it one bottle at a time.

A Historic Milestone
Nine fragrances, launched in a single day.
An unprecedented feat in African perfumery — nine complete compositions released at once, each crafted from start to finish in Accra. It announced Maison Yusif not as a regional curiosity, but as a house operating at world pace.
The House Today
Still made by hand, still made in Ghana.
Success has not changed the method. Every Maison Yusif fragrance is still composed, blended and finished in Accra — small batches, premium materials, no shortcuts.
And success comes with responsibility: through the Home of Humanity Foundation, the house gives back to the very communities that shaped its founder, turning luxury into something that lifts others.
