Our Journey Begins
From the trunk of a car to the shelves of discerning customers, Yusif began crafting perfumes by hand—one scent at a time. His hunger to master the craft led him to study perfumery across Côte d'Ivoire, Germany, Dubai, Turkey, France, Nigeria, Egypt, and Ethiopia. The dream was clear: to build Africa’s own luxury fragrance house rooted in excellence.

In 2023, we became the first Ghanaian fragrance house to win an international fragrance award at the Perfumista Awards. Yusif is also a certified olfaction trainer recognized by the International Perfume Foundation in France, adding global recognition to our local roots.

From Humble Beginnings to a Global Vision
Long before the international awards, press coverage, and spotlight, Maison Yusif started with nothing but raw passion and persistence. In 2011, Yusif Meizongo Jr. began experimenting with fragrance blends in a small room tucked away in Newtown, Accra. By 2017, he officially launched Maison Yusif—selling handcrafted scents from the trunk of his car, often working late into the night to perfect each formula.
These humble beginnings laid the foundation for a brand now celebrated across borders.
