Black Excellence is one of the best fragrances I’ve experienced.
From the first spray, it’s clear this isn’t just another luxury scent it’s something thoughtful, rich, and crafted with care.
The opening hits with fig, plum, mandarin, and bergamot. It’s fruity but not sweet in a basic way there’s complexity and balance. After a few minutes, it shifts into creamy sandalwood, cedar, and a touch of vanilla. The drydown is where it gets serious smoky oud, ambergris, tobacco, tonka, and even real gold dust.
The scent itself is warm, woody, slightly sweet, and very smooth. It’s bold without being aggressive, and it evolves beautifully over time. This feels like confidence in a bottle.
Performance is strong. On skin, I easily get 8 to 10 hours. On clothing, even longer. It leaves a trail, but it’s never overwhelming. People notice it in elevators, passing by, during conversations. I’ve had multiple strangers ask about it.
The presentation adds to the experience. It comes in a heavy glass bottle with actual gold in the liquid. The case is made from African blackwood, which ties directly into the message behind the fragrance. It’s not just about smelling good it’s about pride, heritage, and quality.
For me, this is a 5 out of 5. I’ve worn a lot of niche and high-end fragrances, but few feel this complete. If you want something that lasts, stands out, and feels meaningful, this is it.
